School Programs

Kids are naturally curious about nature. Every child needs a place where he or she can explore muddy water, catch frogs and chase butterflies. At Catoctin Creek Nature Center, we believe in nurturing this natural sense of wonder.

When you register your child for one of our nature programs or camps, he/she will have the opportunity to explore the trails with other kids who share an adventurous spirit. Staff naturalists will be on hand to guide excursions, serve as positive role models, introduce new and exciting information, and answer questions about their natural surroundings.

The following programs are coordinated to match the curriculum requirements of the Frederick County Public School System. Additional programs and/or themes can be developed.
  • Preschool Programs
  • Elementary Programs
  • Middle School Programs
