Building Capacity

Entire Building - No more than 100 persons permitted in the entire Browning Building, by Order of the County Fire Marshal.

BY ORDER OF THE FIRE MARSHAL: If you are having 50 or more persons in the building during your reservation, you must have a Certified Crowd Manager on site during your reservation. Please complete the Certified Crowd Manager Online Training at the following link: Fire Marshal Crowd Manager Online Training ($19.95). Please email a copy of the certificate to ParksandRecreation@FrederickCountyMD.gov no later than two weeks prior to your reservation.

Alcohol Permit

Only the applicant making the Browning Building reservation can purchase an alcohol permit. Applicant must appear in person and show proof of age (21 or older) by providing a valid driver’s license or identification card. Alcohol Permits must be obtained 10 or more business days prior to the reservation date.

Please Note

The Browning Building is unavailable for public rental during the summer months due to our full-day summer camps. The approximate dates for closure are mid-June through Labor Day. We apologize for any inconvenience.
