Kelly D.

Instructor: Kelli Donaghue

"I mainly teach Zumba Fitness classes but have taught all formats (step, hi-low, boxing, strength/core, etc) since becoming a Group Exercise Instructor with AFAA (Aerobics & Fitness Association) in 1996. I am 99.86% sure that I was the 1st Zumba Fitness instructor in Frederick. I became licensed to teach ZUMBA Fitness in 2007 and have a few of the ZUMBA credentials but mostly enjoy teaching Basic or Gold classes.

I love ALL types of music and believe in it's therapy to the body & brain. I just need a good beat - it could be a nursery rhyme, Broadway, country or reggaeton -- I'll choreograph something to it. Balance is key though -- I'm practicing more yoga and loving it. We need both the fast & the slow in our lives. Namaste."
Kelli Fox

Instructor: Kelly Fox

"My name is Kelli Fox and I am a certified AFAA group fitness instructor. I have been teaching Zumba for 10 years and STRONG by Zumba for two years. I started to teach Zumba because I liked how this format had a variety of music, different flavors of dance moves from around the world, and it made me feel like it wasn't a “chore” to enjoy fitness. Next came STRONG by Zumba where the routines provided me the full-body conditioning that I needed in my weekly workouts. I love teaching the two very different formats because it combines the perfect balance: the cardio from Zumba and toning the muscles from STRONG. Of course, I love teaching for for the mental benefits as well. I have connected with numerous participants, encouraging one another during our workout journeys. It’s much more fun to workout with others and feel motivated by the common bond you have with them. Hope you come check out for yourself!"

Favorite workout song: There is no way I can pick just one, I am eclectic as it gets. If it has a good beat, I am hooked!
Favorite cheat food: chai tea and a good slice of pizza from time to time
Maile B.A.

Instructor: Maile Beers-Arthur

"My happy place is dancing and sharing that experience. In teaching Zumba since 2011, I have made lifelong friends, left that stress on the dance floor and found a way to make any day a great day."

Favorite workout song: anything that makes me move, but 24K Magic by Bruno Mars will do on any day
Favorite cheat food: Chocolate. Always chocolate. That's not a cheat food though. It's one of the major food groups.
April D.

Instructor: April Duruttya

"My name is April and I have been a Licensed Zumba Instructor for Frederick County Parks and Recreation since September 2011. After taking my first Zumba class, I instantly feel in love! I have always loved music and dancing and Zumba was that. After a couple months, I decided I wanted to instruct as well. Something that is way outside my comfort zone! I took the leap and became a licensed Zumba instructor in March of 2011. Since then I have meet wonderful people and have made many great friends.

Outside of my Zumba life, I like other formats of exercise as well. I’ve completed many races including a ½ marathon and I found a love for strength training as well. I am also a State Licensed Child Care Provider of 10 years. I also love scrapbooking, crafting, gardening, reading, spending time with my family and friends, watching my children play soccer and softball and having a good time. I like to travel and try new things. I always have some sort of project going on or on my to-do list. I like to keep busy!"
Katie Glaser-LeClere

Instructor: Katie Glaser-LeClere

"I started taking Zumba in 2008 in order to rehabilitate my coordination after two knee surgeries.  I loved it so much,  I began teaching in 2011.  My educational and professional background is in physical therapy, so teaching group exercise classes is a natural complement to my career.  I believe in inclusive opportunities for everyone who attends my classes, and strive to accommodate special needs.  I am licensed to teach Basic, Gold, Toning, and Kids formats."
