Mission Statement

The primary purpose of Frederick County Parks and Recreation Sports Leagues is to provide a fun, safe, and respectful atmosphere for all participants and their families. Through collaborative efforts, our sports staff, volunteers, and coordinators promote sportsmanship and fun above winning. We strive to cultivate a community-based environment that welcomes participants of all shapes, sizes, ages, athletic abilities, and experiences. Our leagues aim to build good character and skills that extend beyond the field, ensuring that every participant is valued regardless of race, gender, beliefs, or skill level.

League Code of Conduct

At Frederick County Parks & Recreation, we strive to create a safe, fun, and respectful environment for everyone involved in our leagues. By participating, you agree to:

  • Show Respect: Treat fellow participants, staff, spectators, and officials with courtesy at all times.

  • Use Appropriate Language: Avoid profanity, offensive language, and inappropriate gestures.

  • Follow Directions: Listen to and follow instructions from league officials and FCPR staff.

  • Care for Facilities: Respect the fields, recreation centers, equipment, and all facility amenities.

  • Promote Sportsmanship: Prioritize safety, fair play, and enjoyment over winning.

  • Know the Rules: Review the league rules, FCPR League Mission Statement, and facility policies.
