To ensure the highest level of quality for each park visitor’s experience, by educating the public on park amenities and natural resources, while enforcing regulations to protect both park patrons and the environment.

What do Park Rangers do?

The Frederick County Park Ranger Program is an integral part of the Frederick County Division of Parks and Recreation. Each day, Park Rangers patrol all Frederick County parks, reaching out to park patrons in order to educate them on park resources, or to provide assistance in emergencies. Park Rangers also enforce Civil and Natural Resources regulations, to ensure that all visitors to Frederick County parks follow all parkland rules and have a safe and enjoyable visit to the park.
