Green Hill Park Rehabilitation Project

Completed Projects:

This project included the replacement of existing basketball court goals/backboards, as well as resurfacing of the courts.

In addition, fencing was installed around the existing playground to improve children's safety.

We are currently:

  • Expanding the parking area as you enter the park for a temporary grass overflow parking area. Please avoid parking here when it rains or when grass is wet. Use the Elementary School parking lot first for a all over flow parking.
  • Installing new signage to guide drivers to the parking spots and inform them of the park rules. We want to emphasize the importance of safety and respect for the park and the neighborhood. DPW placed no-parking signs along the street. This is to ensure that emergency vehicles can access the park and the nearby residences in case of an emergency and that pedestrians can use the sidewalk safely.

Please note that during construction, visitors can use the Overflow Parking at Carroll Manor Elementary School, which is only a short walk from the park entrance. This will help reduce congestion and traffic on the street.

Thank you for your patience during the construction of these park improvements. For more information, please call Frederick County Parks and Recreation at (301) 600-2936.
