Birthday Party

Overview

Come to Catoctin Creek Park for a birthday party that's full of fun and learning. The birthday party room will be reserved for 2 hours, plus 30 minutes for set up. A nature center host will lead an hour-long interactive presentation.  The birthday family will select the theme from 6 choices when they make their reservation. 

A nature center host will contact the person who made the reservation 24 hours before the scheduled program to see if there are any accommodations to be made.  We would like the birthday party family to leave the room in the condition they found it (i.e. no glitter, no table/wall damage, no water damage)

Decorations

The birthday party family will be responsible for providing ALL party decorations, including tablecloths.  Balloons must be kept in the party room. Pinatas are to be used outside only. Nothing can be taped directly to walls.  Nothing can be hung from the ceiling, and we ask that no decorations are taped directly to the walls.

Set Up

The birthday party family may arrive 30 minutes prior to the reservation to decorate the room and set up. A reservation for Shelter #1 (near playground) is an additional charge.  The live animal portion of the party will be held inside the building only.   

Refreshments

Food and drinks are provided by the birthday party family.  A refrigerator & freezer is available upon request to keep items cold; a stove/oven is available to keep items warm.

Times

• Saturdays: 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. (10:30 a.m. set up), 2:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. (2:00 p.m. set up)
• Sundays: 1:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. (1:00 p.m. set up)

Party organizers are allowed to arrive 30 minutes early to set up, however clean up must be completed by the end of the reservation. 

Fee

• $194 for 20 children
• There will be an additional fee of $9 per child over the 20-child limit.
• Maximum party size: 30 children

• A couple of dates and times in mind for when you would like to hold the party
• The Birthday Party Theme Selected
• If you would like to reserve shelter #1 (near the playground) for an additional fee, for your child's party.
