Alcohol Permit

County Code #1-12-45

No persons shall possess or consume alcoholic beverages on county parkland except in accordance with the Alcohol Use Policy of the Division and with valid permit issued by the Division Director.

Alcohol Permits must be obtained 10 or more business days prior to the reservation date.


Designated Areas

Alcohol permits may be requested for designated areas in the following parks:
  • Ballenger Creek Park
  • Kemptown Park
  • Loy's Station Park
  • Middletown Park
  • Old National Pike Park
  • Othello Regional Park
  • Pinecliff Park
  • Rose Hill Manor Park
  • Urbana District Park
  • Utica District Park
If you plan on having alcohol at your event, you must submit an alcohol permit application, 10 or more business days prior to your reservation date.

An alcohol permit is an additional $25.

Payment and a copy of your driver’s license/identification card, proving you are over 21 years of age, must accompany the permit application.

If paying with check, please mail checks to: 355 Montevue Lane, Suite 100, Frederick, MD 21702. A drop box is also available at this location for cash or check payments. If needed, appointments can be made by calling 301-600-2936 Monday-Friday 8am-4pm.

If paying by credit card, email your application and a copy of your driver's license to: parksandrecreation@frederickcountymd.gov

Applicant must have the approved Alcohol Permit with them the day of the reservation. The approved permit will be emailed to the applicant upon approval.

Note: Alcohol permit is valid only for dates and locations specified on permit.
